GONH's Official Charter

The purpose of this organization shall be to:

Promote the common good, welfare and safety of the citizens of New Hampshire through fostering the safe
handling, care and use of firearms.

Preserve, defend and protect the right to keep and bear arms as guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States and by the Constitution of the State of New Hampshire.

Oppose those governmental policies which restrict or deny lawful possession of firearms or which may lead to the abuse or unlawful use of firearms.

Educate, inform, and alert the public on matters affecting firearms policy and legislation.

Promote legislation which will safeguard and protect the right to own, possess and use firearms for all lawful purposes, and to strenuously oppose all attempts to deny or diminish this right to citizens of good repute.

Inform and educate members of the legislative , executive and judicial branches of government as to the views and objectives of GO-NH and the reason therefore, and to communicate to GO-NH's membership the views and actions of members of these branches of government.

Promote the concepts of speedy trials and equal justice before the law, particularly as they apply to the imposition of humane, but just and reasonable penalties for violations of firearms statutes.

Foster and promote the shooting sports, including the advancement of amateur competitions in marksmanship.
